ISLAMABAD-

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday staged a protest rally against alleged rigging in general elections of May 2013, a private news channel reported.

Party’s senior leader Shirin Mazari led the rally from PTI’s main office and marched towards the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

Party workers, holding placards displaying anti-government and anti-rigging slogans, were barred from access to the ECP by Islamabad police.

The activists recorded their protest by torching a symbolic coffin of ECP.

PTI holds weekly protests following the May 11 rally in Islamabad where PTI Chief Imran Khan demanded the reconstitution of ECP.
