PESHAWAR-

Taliban militants in North Waziristan have formally revoked the peace agreement with the government of Pakistan, according to a pamphlet shared by a private news group.

The pamphlet, distributed in the tribal areas, read that the Taliban in NW; under the leadership of Hafiz Gul Bahadur, have cancelled the peace agreement with the government following the air strikes by the Pakistan military in the region.

The pamphlet further read that the militant group is now getting ready to fight against the planned operation by the security forces, adding that the locals should leave the area by June 10.

The locals were warned not to keep any ties with the government or military officials and not to seek refuge in government-established camps. They have been advised move to areas close to the Afghanistan border.

They were also warned of action if they do not obey the instructions.

The NW Taliban also announced that the group would now focus on defending the area and would not send any fighters to Afghanistan.

Locals have been warned to leave soon or join hands with the militant groups to fight against the military operation.
