NCA students get recognition at Lok Virsa

A ceremony was organised on Friday at Lok Virsa to award certificates to 22 students from National College of Arts (NCA) Rawalpindi in recognition of their services rendered for Lok Virsa’s annual Folk Festival, popularly known as Lok Mela held in April 2014.

The event was arranged under the aegis of the National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage Lok Virsa in which Lok Virsa Executive Director Mrs Shahera Shahid and NCA Rawalpindi Director Dr Nadeem Omer Tarar were the guests of honour who distributed the certificates among the students.

In her welcoming address, Mrs Shahera Shahid greatly appreciated the efforts of NCA students and their faculty members for their input to Lok Virsa for the festival. She expressed the hope that such ventures between Lok Virsa and NCA would continue in future as well.

While, NCA Director DrTarar thanked Lok Virsa for extending the opportunity to his students to learn through working with a specialized cultural organization like Lok Virsa. He assured all possible cooperation from his institution for the projects and activities of Lok Virsa.
