Two people were killed and five others, including four women, were injured after being struck by lightning in separate incidents in Gujranwala and Daska on Friday.
In Gujranwala, two men and a woman, residents of Muhammad Abad area, were struck by lightning during rain. Azhar, one of the residents, died on the spot, while the other two were severely scalded.
Rescue workers shifted the injured and the dead body to District Headquarters Hospital Gujranwala.
In another incident, 14-year-old Shahbaz Khan and his sisters Nazia, Mehjabeen and Shehzadi were struck by lightning in Galotian Khurd area of Daska. Shahbaz was killed on the spot, while the three sisters sustained severe burn injuries.
The injured were rushed to Civil Hospital Daska for medical treatment.
