The PCB has appointed Grant Luden, the former fitness coach of Bangladesh, as the trainer and fielding coach of the national team, the chairman Najam Sethi confirmed on Friday.”Grant Luden has signed up with PCB as training/fielding coach,” Sethi said.Luden, who had worked under former Bangladesh coach Shane Jurgensen, is the latest addition to a new-look Pakistan coaching staff, which has undergone a major revamp under Sethi following the team’s failure to make the World T20 semi-finals in March. The South African-born Luden is the team’s fourth major appointment after the hiring of head coach Waqar Younis, spin consultant Mushtaq Ahmed, and batting coach Grant Flower. According to the Express Tribune, the PCB had decided to hire a fielding coach who could also double up as a trainer, which made Luden the ideal candidate.
