ADB vows to work for economic growth

The Economic Affairs Division and Asian Development Bank (ADB) on Friday formally initiated the consultative process for the new Country Partnership Strategy (CPS) 2015-19 based on all inclusive, government’s four Es – energy, economy, extremism and education and consensus of all stakeholders, including the federal and provincial governments, federating units, civil society and private sector.

The new CPS consultations were launched jointly by Economic Affairs Division Secretary Nargis Sethi and ADB Country Director Werner Liepach. Representatives of all federating units and federal government also participated in the meeting.

The CPS 2015-19 will be country’s first Partnership Strategy which shall be finalized after taking onboard all the stakeholders through a consultative process. The mechanism has been developed after several meetings and parlays between the country team of ADB and the Economic Affairs Division.
