*CM inaugurates Ruyi-Masood Textile Park

Country would soon be taken out from darkness as the government is initiating 20,000 megawatt power project in collaboration with China, said Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif while addressing the ground breaking ceremony of the Ruyi-Masood Textile Park at M-3 Industrial Estate Faisalabad on Wednesday.

Shahbaz said the textile park is a unique project as it is being developed in Pakistan for the very first time by Masood Textile Mills Limited in collaboration with Ruyi Changdoing.

The CM said the establishment of the Ruyi-Masood Textile Park would not only help in creating job opportunities for 35,000 people directly but will also prove to be a milestone in the promotion of industrial activities in the country.

He said that an investment of 2 billion dollars was expected in the textile park and this park would also help in attracting the huge foreign investment in the textile Manchester of Pakistan.

Shahbaz said the Chinese government also agreed to launch a 20,000 MW power project in Pakistan and completion of this project would help the country to overcome electricity crisis.

He said that China used to help Pakistan in all spheres of life and now it is also collaborating a lot for the economic, industrial and trade development of the country.

The Ruyi-Masood Textile Park is the biggest project of Faisalabad during last 67 years which is attracting huge foreign investment, he said, adding that the project would not only further strengthen Sino-Pak ties but also help in enhancing the textile production of the industrial hub of Pakistan.

The CM urged the local traders dealing in textile to take advantage from the knowledge and expertise of Chinese engineers and promote their textile activities on most modern lines.

He said that the industrial estate is a major project of the Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC) which is sprawling over 4500 acres of land and it would also hopefully generate job opportunities for millions of people within a couple of years.

He announced that electricity crisis in the country would be overcome completely within next 4 years.

Referring to the Nandipur power project, the CM said that the first turbine of 95 MW of the project would be inaugurated soon and this project will start generation of electricity with its full capacity of 425 megawatt within a record time of 7 months.

Chinese envoy in Pakistan, Ruyi Changdoing chairman, Masood Textile Industries chief executive, provincial minister for law, provincial minister for industries, local MNA and MPAs were also present on the occasion.

  1. Pakistan has flourished in all major areas of economy;
    inception of power projects to reduce loadshedding (in early 2013, the loadshedding was upto 22 hours),
    transport & communication revolution (3G &4G),
    massive reduction in suicide attacks (will be completely eliminated soon)
    and
    re-start of peace process with India
    are all the great achievements of PMLN Government. But still has a long way to go.
