*Court takes notice of woman’s kidnapping

 

The Lahore High Court Complaint Cell on Wednesday took notice of kidnapping a woman in Mamu Kanjan.

The cell took the notice on a press report and directed the Faisalabad district and sessions judge to look into the matter besides submitting a detailed report within a week.

As per details, Arif, a relative of the affected woman, told the journalists that the woman with her cousin were on their way to bazaar when accused Sharafat and his 10 accomplices abducted them. She was raped.

The Mamu Kanjan SHO said the police were waiting for a medico-legal examination report of the girl. He said a police team had been constituted to arrest the suspects.

PETITION AGAINST IMRAN KHAN DISMISSED:

The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday dismissed a petition seeking disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan.

The petition was filed by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Inqalab through its chairman Illamud Din Ghazi submitting that Imran Khan had an alleged affair with a US national and concealed the fact from the nation.
