KARACHI-
Former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Makhdoom Amin Faheem were issued non-bailable arrest warrants on Thursday by an aniti-corruption counrt, a private news channel reported.
The warrants against the two PPP leaders were arrested in relevance to the case registered by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) regarding financial irregularities in the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) at the time when Faheem was serving as the commerce minister.
The Gillani and Faheem were previously issued three notices to appear in the court. On their failure to appear in court, bailable arrest warrants were issued against them.
Today, the court issued non-bailable arrest warrant against the two leaders and adjourned the hearing till June 17.
