‘Savvy & Successful’, Coca-Cola Beverages Pakistan Limited’s (CCBPL) flagship event to celebrate women, was organized at the EXPO Centre Lahore on May 29, with Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar as the Guest of Honour. The Coca-Cola International PresidentAhmet CBozer and several other senior executives of Coca-Cola Icecek (CCI), the parent company of CCBPL, also attended. The annual event seeks to recognize and honour women who have broken barriers and overcome stereotypes to achieve success in their respective fields. Six iconic Pakistani women were presented with the Savvy & Successful 2014 award. These included Oxford University Press Managing Director Ameena Saiyid, Pakistan’s first combat-ready fighter pilot Ayesha Farooq, Asian Games gold medalist Naseem Hameed, fashion designer Nilofer Shahid, founder of Kashf Foundation Roshaneh Zafarand the first Pakistani female to conquer Mt.Everest, SaminaBaig.
