A meeting of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) shareholders turned into chaos when the stock owners protested against the top management of the national flag carrier, alleging them of mismanagement.

PIA Chairman Muhammad Ali Gardazi chaired the meeting that was held in the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Club.

According to reports, the shareholders criticised and expressed their anger over the mismanagement in the institution. They said that the PIA was facing losses of billions of rupees due to the mismanagement.

“Flights are delayed and the passengers have to wait for hours at airports due to shortage of aircraft,” the shareholders said.

They said the PIA chairman and the top officials were responsible for the financial crisis in the national airlines.
