Congratulating the nation on the 16th anniversary of “Youm-e-Takbeer”, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has assured that Pakistan has a strong defence against any aggression.
“Our nuclear assets that are guarantee of national security are in safe hands and the same fact has been expressed and reiterated by numerous international institutions,” he said in his message on the occasion being celebrated today.
The prime minister, however, emphasised that Pakistan being a responsible nation was playing a vibrant role in the comity of nations.
“Let me state on this occasion that our nuclear capability should not be a point of concern for anyone as it is only for peaceful purpose and for the welfare of our people,” he added.
The premier said that Pakistan was cooperating with international organisations for peaceful uses of nuclear technology for the benefit of mankind.
“Pakistan has already expressed its willingness to provide this assistance and know-how under the aegis of IAEA in various aspects of peaceful application of nuclear technology to any country needing the same. We have expressed this resolve at many international forums,” he maintained.
This is a fact that Pakistan went for nuclearization at the very date of 28th May, the day of rejoice for the country as it was the first Islamic country who joined the nuclear club and since then country has been victim of criticism. But nothing can daunted the country for pursuing its nuclear program. Pakistan's nuclear weapons program is solely for deterrence and peaceful purposes and not to attack any other country until there is some external aggression. Pakistan is a responsible nuclear state and it has been claimed by international community at different international platfoms. It cannot be disputed that nuclear deterrence is the key strategic factor safeguarding Pakistan’s national security. May 28 is a day of pride for Pakistan and the celebration of this day refers to the acknowledgement of all the scientists’ efforts that went into making Pakistan more secure. This day is celebrated as a national day of significance that made Pakistan a member of an exclusive club of less than ten nuclear states. nuclear strength is a monumental milestone for a country in the modern world. Nuclear weapons are not a source of Pakistan’s economic deprivation but provide it safety to take economic strides and develop.
It is very much obvious thing to admit that no one else except than Pakistan would be having highest concern for its nuclear security other than else. Pakistan passed a long journey of building and protecting its nuclear assets with loads of efforts. All the apparent worries are nothing than the crafted pillars of propaganda. Nuclear Weapons of Pakistan are safe and secure to the optimum level.
