The Judicial Commission has recommended that Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice (CJ) Umar Ata Bandiyal be elevated to the rank of Supreme Court judge.
The recommendation was made in a meeting of the Judicial Commission held Wednesday with Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Tassaduq Hussain Jillani in the chair.
The commission also recommended the appointment of LHC Justice Khwaja Imtiaz as LHC CJ.
Moreover, Athar Minallah has been recommended for appointment as an additional judge of Islamabad High Court.
