This is in reference to Mr Ikram Sehgal’s rather longish article (contrary to his usual ‘to the point’ expressions) appearing on Saturday, May 14, 2014, in Pakistan Today about the proposed visit of our prime minister to Delhi. One thing that is conspicuous in his article — as is a norm with other writers – is the expression “overwhelming poverty of Muslims in India”. I don’t know why we are so concerned about the poverty of Muslims in India when in our own country our own people are getting poorer and poorer by the day. The proof is that on almost daily basis, we get the horrible news of men and women killing their children and then committing suicides to bring an end to their agonies.

The letter writer raises a good point regarding the poverty in Pakistan. We should care about our own poor people , rather the Poor Indian Muslims. It is India's responsibility not Pakistan's affair. WE must address issues faced by our people and quit interfering in others affairs.
Exactly, I think you should stay focused on what the problems are in your country. Like a lot of people dream of burano island economy and wealth when the reality is absolutely different. I hope it gets better any time soon!
I admire the efforts of the author who beautifully inspire students about their writing. We should write in quality and writing does not matter at all.
