Scotland Yard releases photos of suspects in Dr. Imran Farooq murder case

The Scotland Yard on Tuesday released the photographs of two suspects in the murder of former Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Dr Imran Farooq, a private news channel reported.

They confirmed that were looking for two Pakistani men, named Mohsin Ali Syed and Muhammad Kashif Khan Kamran, in relation to the assassination of Farooq on Green Lane, Edgware, on 16 September 2010.

The Scotland Yard claims that the suspects are under custody of Pakistani authorities.

“The two men wanted in connection with the murder are: Moshin Ali Syed, 29 (15/05/85) a Pakistani national who was in the UK between February 2010 and 16 September 2010 and Muhammad Kashif Khan Kamran, 34 (6/7/79), a Pakistani national who was in the UK between early September 2010 and 16 September 2010”, read the details released by the Scotland Yard.

They added that the two suspects were residing in the Stanmore area prior to the murder and left the UK on the evening of the murder.

“The men are known to have registered to study at a college in East London having entered the UK on student visas,” they added.

Farooq was stabbed to death outside his residence in London’s Green Lane while he was on his way home from work.

According to the post-mortem report, Farooq died from multiple stab wounds and blunt trauma to his head.
