A number of people were injured as a result of a clash between two political groups at Five Star Chowrangi where workers from both the sides scuffled and opened fire on each other.
According to details, a clash between two political groups occurred at the Five Star Chowrangi during wherein workers belonging to opposite groups were seen scuffling with each other involving batons and armed weapons.
As a consequence, several people were injured who were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Meanwhile, heavy contingent of police reached the scene, dispersed the raged workers and took control of the situation. The injured were given medical aid at the hospital; many of them were reported to receive wounds in heads.
The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) had announced to rally at Five Star Chowrangi which was to take place after some time. The MQM leaders and workers were busy in making arrangements for the rally to express solidarity with MQM Chief Altaf Hussain when a rival group appeared there and the whole situation turned furious over removing the party flags.
