Atif Aslam, Hadiqa nominated in Big Apple Music Awards

Popular singers Atif Aslam and Hadiqa Kiani are all gear up to bring home another international award.

The singers have been nominated in the categories of Best Male Artist of Pakistan and the Best Female Artist of Pakistan in Big Apple Music Awards which is going to be held on May 25 at Master Theatre, New York.

This is the first time any Pakistani singers have been nominated in the Big Apple Music Awards which mainly promotes Central Asian, Caucasian and Middle Eastern music and its makers both inside and outside the United States.

Egyptian pop star Amr Diab has been nominated in three categories: Global Icon Award, Best Arabic Male Artist and the Most Popular Artist of the Year.

Famous Algerian singer-songwriter Khaleed of Didi song fame has also been nominated in the awards.

The awards show has been organized by Big Apple Music Awards Foundation which is a unique, multinational membership-based association composed of music industry professionals, musicians, producers and other creative and technical recording professionals. Their main aim is to recognize excellence and create a greater public awareness of the cultural diversity of Central Asian, Caucasian and Middle Eastern recording artists and creators, both domestically and internationally.
