A poverty-stricken elderly couple attempted suicide by jumping into a canal in Khaipur district of Sindh on Saturday.
The tragic incident took place in Luqman area of Khairpur, the hometown of Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah.
According to details, 70-year-old Hussain Bux and his 60-year-old wife left their house saying that they were going to bet medicine.
As they had no money to purchase medicines, they decided to commit suicide. Some shepherds, who were luckily there, managed to save the husband, but his wife died.
The elderly couple had been suffering from protracted illness.
She should have waited for Metro train or used Metro Bus or asked her son to qualify for a laptop or yellow cab or PM loan or should have traveled over fly overs or through underpasses or should have accepted rigged elections or should have lived with the load shedding promises or should have bought medicine through the luxury of Income Support Program but no its all IK's fault and CM KPK should resign. Happy? Not yet? Ok because my guilty conscious says that all those in favor of (i am calling it) non-humanitarian and wrong priority spending will also be accountable in life after because that makes us somehow responsible for such "murders" and maybe the sleeping wont open eyes till, God forbid, something like that happens to one of our family members.
Those who have not attempted any mega projects during their regime, have the alleviated poverty from their domains> PPP has been in power both in center and Sind for last so many years, did not spend any money on people except for publicity. No one condemns them. Spending money on people is so wrong that it is always condemned. LOL
