Six security personnel killed in Mohmand Agency IED attack

At least six security forces’ personnel were killed while one was injured when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) targeted their convoy in Mohmand Agency in the early hours of Saturday, a private news channel reported.

According to the report, official sources confirmed the incident took place in Pindiali area, adding that the targeted security forces personnel were dispatched to the area for a search operation when militants blew up a school in Pindiali’s Sher Malik village.

Security forces cordoned off the area, following the event. A search operation was launched in the area, adds the report.

The injured were shifted to a hospital.

Also on Saturday, militants ransacked the house of a peace committee member Alam Sher from Utmanzai area in Pindiali.
