Military says that air strikes were carried out in North Waziristan tribal region with the approval of civilian government.
At least 60 militants were killed as a result of the Friday’s air raids.
Responding to a story carried by a foreign news agency, military officials said that civilian government had sanctioned the air strikes.
It clarified that those killed in the raids were terrorists who were involved in various acts of terrorism in FATA, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Karachi.
