ISLAMABAD-
Member of the Sikh Community on Thursday staged a demonstration outside the Parliament against alleged desecration of their holy books and sites in Sindh, a private news channel reported.
According to the report, the protesters chanted slogans and forced their way into the Parliament House to occupy the media rostrum.
Members of the community alleged that their religious sites, ‘Gurdwaras’ were being set ablaze in Karachi, Shikarpur and other cities of the province and demanded that the interior ministry provide security to their centres.
Senator Zafar Ali Shah arrived at the protest and assured the demonstrations that their demands would be met.
