Four gangsters arrested for involvement in murder, dacoities
Margallah police Islamabad has busted a gang involved in murder and several robberies, besides recovering snatched valuables, lap top, motorbikes and cash from their possession.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Senior Superintendent of Police Islamabad Muhammad Ali Nekukara said these four gangsters are involved in several dacoity incidents and they killed a young person during dacoity attempt in Industrial area.
SP (Saddar) Muhammad Ilyas, ASP Margallah Rana Abdul Aziz, SHO Margallah police station Inspector Khalid Mehmud Awan and other police officials were also present on the occasion.
The nabbed persons have been identified as Muhammad Faisal Jat s/o Muhammad Bashir resident of Okara, Hamad Ali Shah s/o Ayaz Hussain Shah resident of Abbottabad, Faisal Hafeez s/o Hafeez ur Rehman resident of Patoki and Sher Azam s/o Sajid Hussain resident of Tehsil Mandian, Abbottabbad. These persons were temporarily residing in sector I-9/4 Islamabad and police recovered four pistols, lap tops, 15 mobile phones, masks and cutter form their possession.
During the preliminary investigation, they confessed their involvement in street crime and further investigation is underway from them.
SSP Islamabad told media men that these persons used motorbikes for dacoity purpose and snatch valuables from motorcyclists and car occupants after chasing them. Muhammad Ali Nekukara has appreciated the performance of Margallah police team including ASI Shakeel Ahmed who arrested thee gangsters.
The SSP Islamabad said that all possible efforts would be made to secure the city and security measures would be taken in various areas after consultation with local people. He said that liaison with community is key for effective policing and all possible efforts would be made to ensure protection to the lives and property of the citizens.
