Police mobile attacked with hand grenade

A police mobile narrowly escaped a mishap as a hand grenade hurled on them by unknown miscreants did not go off on Sunday.

According to police sources, the miscreants threw a hand grenade on a police mobile near DMC Chowk in the jurisdiction of Aram Bagh police station. Fortunately, the grenade did not explode. The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was called for help which successfully defused the bomb.

According to BDS officials, the grenade was Russian-made. The miscreants managed to escape after the attack. Heavy contingent of police reached the scene after the incident.
