The Pakistani business community will participate in Made in Pakistan Expo 2014 scheduled to be held in Mumbai, India, from August 31 to September 5, said Ijaz A Khohar, former Chairman Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturer and Exporters Association (PRGMEA).
He said on Sunday the expo was being jointly organised by PRGMEA and EVECON with support of commerce, textile ministries of Pakistan and All India Association of Industries. The event is unprecedented in the history of Pak-India trade ties and allows Pakistan venture into Mumbai, the heart of Indian market, and it will provide an opportunity to Pakistani businesspeople to discuss trade-related issues with Indian authorities, he added.
Participation in the expo will help the Pakistani business community develop business to business contacts with their counterparts as well as support in broadening the chance of boosting regional trade in the subcontinent, he said.
