Former chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has brushed aside the allegations levelled by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan against the judiciary with respect to polls rigging, terming them “absurd and unfounded”.

“Levelling the accusations without evidence is not appropriate. Bring proof on this count,” former CJP said while talking to journalists Saturday.

Chaudhry said, “I had no connection with any media. I am convinced of the media’s role.” He underlined that correspondence with Election Commission of Pakistan and returning officers and the record bear testimony that there was no pressure whatsoever from judiciary on ECP.

  1. The former CJP needs to be careful with his comments less he gets dragged further into the mess and the entire business of Dhandli elections. He talks about producing evidence what was he doing congratulating the crooked and tainted returning officers

  2. He is disgrace , he had a chance to write his name in history with honour only if he had stayed away from helping Nawaz Sharif………..Shame on you Iftikhar…..you will answer this one-day …..this world or next.
