The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday extended stay order till June 5, 2014 in the proceeding of NA-122 rigging case and directed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan to re-submit his reply.
As per reports, during the case proceeding, Imran Khan’s five-page statement was submitted that stated the plea regarding rigging in NA-122 was right and there was no technical lacuna in it. It prayed the stay against the Election Tribunals proceedings should be vacated. The prosecutor of National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Barrister Asjad argued that the plea submitted by the PTI chairman contained some technical errors, which showed that Imran Khan did not seem serious in the case. Barrister Asjad said the reply submitted by Imran Khan was verified by a suspended oath commissioner. Later, the court asked Imran Khan to re-submit response by June 5 and adjourned the case.
