Actress Veena Malik on Wednesday visited renowned humanitarian and philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi to ask about his health.
Veena, along with her husband met Edhi and wife Bilquis Edhi at their residence.
Reportedly, Veena also made an offer to donate her kidney to Edhi, who depends on a bi-weekly dialysis as his kidneys have failed.
The offer was politely declined by Edhi.
Talking to media reporters, Veena said that Edhi was our national hero, adding that she is unable to put her immense love and respect for the philanthropist in words.
“The services of Edhi Sahab are great,” added the actress. She prayed for his health and expressed her desire to follow Edhi’s footsteps and work for the poor.
Talking about her future plans, Veena said that she will be taking part in politics after receiving assurance for support by her family and city residents.
