KARACHI-
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday arrived in Karachi to head a high-level meeting on the law and order situation and review the ongoing operation against terrorists and criminals in the city.
He was received at the airport by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and a large number of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) workers.
The meeting was attended by Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, DG Rangers, former President Asif Ali Zardari and the top civilian leadership.
According to the report, the prime minister was briefed over the ongoing operation. He called for an improvement in intelligence sharing for action against terrorists and criminal elements.
The PM also asked for reasons behind not blocking illegal SIMs in the city.
PM Sharif also held separate meetings with Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad and COAS General Raheel Sharif.
