Despite the government’s claims to bring an end to load shedding from the whole country, power outages from 3 to 9 hours still continue in the city.
The affected areas include Lyari, Saddar, Khardar, Nazimabad, Korangi, Landhi, Qaidabad and several other areas of Karachi.
People are facing problems due to prolonged load shedding and intense hot weather.
According to KESC the areas where there is electric theft duration in such areas have been increased and where recovery is 90% or more those areas are exempted from load shedding.
