A police constable was killed and 13 others sustained injuries in an exchange of fire between two groups.
Police said two groups resorted to firing during a procession taken out in connection with the birth anniversary of Hazrat Ali (A.S.) in the City police precincts. As a result, gunman of the City DSP was killed and ASI Adam Ali Khushk and 12 others sustained injuries.
The injured have been shifted to Liaquat University Hospital where condition of three was said to be critical.
Rangers have been deployed to avert any untoward incident.
