Regional seminar “Financial Reporting and its infrastructure in Public Finance Optimization System and Management of Fiscal Risks» will be held within VII Astana Economic Forum and II World Anti-Crisis Conference in Astana, on May 21-23, 2014.
The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan jointly with the International Monetary Fund are planning to conduct of the Regional seminar “Financial Reporting and its infrastructure in Public Finance Optimization System and Management of Fiscal Risks» within VII Astana Economic Forum (AEF) and II World Anti-Crisis Conference (WAC) on May 21-23, 2014 with participation of the international recognized experts.
Purpose of carrying out the regional seminar:
The main directions of world tendencies in management of public finances and discussion of actual approaches, their application in regions of Transcaucasia, Central Asia and Kazakhstan.
The international experts present the Republic of Kazakhstan as the country which is successfully realizing reform of accounting and financial reporting in public sector on accrual method.
Modern international processes of regulation of accounting and financial reporting are characterized by increasing dissemination of IPSAS with application of accrual method. This theme is rather actual and enables considerations of reforming in financial sphere of public sector.
There were traditional discussions of issues connected to introduction of accrual method in public sector on platform AEF and WAC. Thus the beginning of discussion is successfully incorporated at the seminar on the theme «The role of accounting and auditing in the sustainable development of government financial system in terms of risks», carried out May, 24, 2013 with participation of leading international experts from the IPSAS Committee the International Federation of Accountants, the House of Commons of the Great Britain, auditor company ” PwC”.
Understanding complexity and integrated approach of this theme, the Ministry of Finance will carry out necessary actions for realization of three-day seminar on May 21-23, 2014 with attraction of expert- practicians, directly realizing reform on transition to accrual method in the various countries.
