Have you forgotten the D Chowk lesson already?

Ejaz says Punjab government obstructing PTI preparations for May 23 jalsa

The Punjab government has not learnt the lesson from the D Chowk jalsa and is still bent upon creating hurdles for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers busy in arrangement, said PTI Punjab President Ejaz Ahmed Chaudhry in a meeting held to review the preparation of May 23 Faisalabad jalsa.

Ejaz condemned the Punjab Transport Department which had issued instructions to all transporters not to take the Faisalabad route on May 23 without taking a special permit from the department. He said that shameless behaviour of Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and his ‘comedy act’ were fully exposed facing tsunami heading for Faisalabad his hometown where his lack of popularity will also be exposed on May 23. He said that the massive crowd in D Chowk which had reached the jalsa venue despite hurdles created by the government in the form of arrest threat and barriers has really scared the government to the extent that they were now warning transporters not to support mobilisation of the PTI supporters.

Ejaz said that the government’s performance was so poor that they know that if the public is mobilised there will be more pressure on the government to get the thumb verification of the four constituencies and the elections fraud will be exposed. This realisation is driving them to use all tactics to suppress the movement for electoral reforms, he added.
