To impart free of cost technical and vocational training to 25,000 less educated and jobless youth of the country, National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) has started classes thorough out the country on Monday 12th May 2014 in more than 350 best quality technical & vocational training institutes of public and private sector under the Prime Minister Youth Skills Development Program (PMYSDP). Out of these 25,000, more than 8,500 jobless females will be skilled. Prime Minister Youth Skills Development Program is spread over Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and FATA. There is neither admission fee nor course fee however trainees will be paid monthly Rs.2, 000/- stipend per head. While trainees from FATA will be paid Rs. 3,000/- stipend. Tool Kits in some selected 27 trades will also be given free of cost to successful trainees after completion of their courses, says a press statement issued by Executive Director NAVTTC here today.
