The Supreme Court (SC) has dismissed the petitions filed by the NAB chairman and others seeking review of the court’s decision given against them in NICL corruption case.

Justice Jawwad S Khawaja remarked “prima facie we had given the decision that the facts would come to light when the investigations would be conducted at proper forum.

A three-member bench headed by Justice Jawwad S Khawaja took up for hearing the review petitions filed by NAB Chairman Chaudhry Qamar Zaman, Abdul Rauf Chaudhry, Mohsin Habib Warraich and Waqar Ahmad against the decision on Monday.

The SC in its verdict had directed NAB and FIA to initiate action against the people involved in the NICL corruption.

Filing the reviewing petition against this decision they had taken the plea that no case had been proved against them. They requested the court to review its decision and declare it null and void. The court while upholding its decision rejected these applications.
