Following an appeal by the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) in the Islamabad High Court (IHC), no protest event was held on 12th May, while the lawyers also did not boycott the Court proceedings.
All five current benches carried out their relevant hearings as usual, despite an appeal by PBD to boycott proceedings in relation to 12th May 2007 Karachi carnage of lawyers in Karachi on the eve of arrival of former CJP (then suspended), Iftikhar Chaudhry. During one of the hearings, Justice Anwarul Haq said that nobody had been informed about the protest event.
