Police on Monday arrested Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) member Ashraf Solangi over the complaint of PPP’s Member National Assembly (MNA), Shazia Marri.
According to reports, Marri filed a complaint with the police to arrest Solangi as he sent her immoral messages.
It is not the first incident as Ishar Lal, member of the Sindh Assembly, was also accused of sending messages to Marri. He said he was told about the illness of Marri and on June 21, 2006, he inquired about her health through a note on a piece of paper during the assembly session.
On this, Syed Murad Ali Shah, Muneer Abbasi, Mohammad Nawaz Chandio, Saleem Hingoro and other MPAs along with 8 to 10 men came to him threatened of dire consequences.
