Plea admitted against cellular phone tower

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has accepted a petition against towers of cellular companies in the residential areas, issuing notices to all parties.

A three-member bench of the court headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk heard application filed by Muhammad Yaqub against the towers of cellular companies in the residential areas.

The complainants claimed that the towers posed serious health threats for people in the residential areas and harm the environment. The court issued notices to the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and cellular companies.
