Sindh Inspector General of Police Iqbal Mehmood Monday directed the Sindh police to make extra ordinary security arrangements for the processions which will be organised to observe the birth anniversary of Hazrat Ali (RA) today (Tuesday).
He also directed to make alternate traffic arrangements to ensure smooth flow of vehicles on the day, said a statement. He directed to make security arrangements for the processions and other programmes which will be organised on the day at the level of police stations in accordance with the list of the organizers of the events.
In a report regarding traffic arrangements, DIG Traffic Karachi Arif Hanif stated that a procession would be taken out in connection with the day from the Ghafoor Chamber Electronic Market at 4.00 pm and after passing through Abdullah Haroon Road, Shahrah-e-Liaquat and MA Jinnah Road, it will culminate at Mehfil-e-Shah Khurasan.
