The Rawalpindi Education Department has issued notification in respect of promotion of over 500 primary and elementary schoolteachers of District Rawalpindi to next scale.
These promotions have been given under 3-tiered formula of chief minister package. In accordance with this formula junior 50 percent teachers of total existing strength of teachers in primary schools at tehsil level has been promoted to BPS-9 and 35 percent senior teachers have been promoted to BPS-12 and the remaining senior 15 percent teachers to BPS-14.
Likewise 50 percent teachers of elementary schools have been promoted to PBS-14, 35 percent senior teachers to BPS-15 and the remaining 15 percent teachers to BPS-16.
