Traders won’t stay silent on Army, ISI’s defamation

Traders and Industrialists of the federal capital on Friday staged a protest demonstration outside the press club to express complete and unconditional support to the Army and the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

The demonstration was led by FPCCI Vice President Munawar Mughal, ICCI SVP Khalid Chaudhry and trade leaders including Ijaz Abbasi, Sarfaraz Mughal, Khalid Mian, Musharraf Janjua, Nadeem Syed, and Tahir Abbasi.

A large number of people from all walks of lift also participated in the demonstration and chanted slogan in favour of Army and ISI. They also raised slogans against the elements trying to defame national institutions. Many participants were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans in favour of the national institutions.

Speaking on the occasion, leaders of the business community said that we condemned the false allegations against the Army and ISI as such campaigns would hurt the morale of the defence forces protecting the country.

Accusing state institutions on the behest of India would not be tolerated as New Delhi has never accepted Pakistan and now she wants to destabilise Pakistan by demoralising security establishment, the speakers said.

They said that they have full faith in capabilities of Army and ISI which has defended motherland by giving supreme sacrifices.

Business community and the whole nation stood united with the army at the current juncture, they said, adding that assault on the Army amounts to an attack on Pakistan which will never be allowed.

They said that it was a duty of every patriot Pakistani to raise a voice in favour of the guardians of our ideological and geographical frontiers and they would continue to do the same without giving any consideration to negative propaganda.
