Federal Minister for Railways Saad Rafique has said that the government has no problem with Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI)’s protest but will have to spend millions of rupees to provide security to the protesters.
Talking to reporters on Friday, Rafique said PTI Chairman Imran Khan was no more a cricketer and should demonstrate political maturity, adding that now that Khan has entered politics he must use political terms instead of cricket terms.
Rafique said the PTI wanted a decision of its choice from courts on the issue of thumb verification but the courts had their own mechanism to deliver verdicts and justice, adding that the PTI chairman had failed to provide evidence of rigging in the 2013 polls.
The minister said that Khan was playing cricket when the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was preparing for elections due to which PML-N got votes to form a government.
He said Khan visited Lodhran and other backward areas in helicopters and air conditioned cars while Shahbaz Sharif worked on several developmental projects in Punjab due to which the people elected him.
He said Khan should stop misleading the public and instead of protesting on streets, he should show up in the National Assembly and talk there.
