NAWABSHAH-
A 4.5 magnitude earthquake killed at least two people and injured 70 others in the wee hours of Friday in Nawabshah and surrounding areas, a private news channel reported.
At about 3: 55 AM, the quake jolted Nawabshah and its adjoining areas.
The epicentre of the earthquake was 27 km North East of Nawabshah with the depth of 15 km.
According to the report, the injured included women and children. They have been shifted to a hospital for treatment.
Several houses were also destroyed in the disaster.
According to Deputy Commissioner Irfan Kathia, all schools in the district will remain closed for the day while the scheduled intermediate exams have also been cancelled.
Aftershocks continued to trigger panic in the region, added the report.
