As many as three alleged dacoits were arrested in injured state after an encounter with police on Friday.
According to police sources, the dacoits were fleeing after robbing civilians near 60 Mile Road. They hid in the nearby fields when the police started chasing them.
The robbers opened fire at the police but were wounded in the retaliatory fire. They were shifted to Peoples Medical University Hospital, Nawabshah, for medical care.
The police said the alleged dacoits were involved in serious crimes. They were identified as Qurban, Sajjad and Khalid.
