KARACHI
The Supreme Court (SC) has summoned inquiry officer into murder case on May 19 along with record on appeal plea filed by PPP MNA Nawab Wassan against the decision of high court.
During the general elections a man was shot dead in the constituency of Nawab Wassan at Khairpur Mirus. The grieving family had declared Wassan responsible for the murder and had registered a murder case against him. Wassan had sought bail before arrest which was dismissed by Sukkur High Court.
A three-member bench of the SC headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Tassaduq Hussain Jillani took up the case for hearing on Thursday.
Farooq H Naik appeared on behalf of Wassan and gave arguments.
