Says PTI workers ‘attack on court’s decorum’ is the result of Imran Khan’s irresponsible and provocative speeches against the judiciary
The act of attacking the court decorum by PTI workers is the result of Imran Khan’s irresponsible and provocative speeches against the judiciary in recent days, Information Minister Senator Pervaiz Rashid said on Wednesday.
“We condemn the act of violating the court decorum as it was an attempt by PTI to pressurize an independent institution through violent means to get the verdicts in their own favour,” said Rashid. “The man who cannot bring his workers in line to respect the court decorum, how can he be expected to work for the welfare and rights of the masses,” he added.
Rashid asked Imran to apologise to the court on behalf of his workers and train them for respecting the judiciary. He said that Imran Khan and his party workers should adopt civilized ways of behaving with institutions. He said if Imran khan wants any amendment to electoral rules, he should knock the door of parliament.
“If such an irresponsible demonstration was held on streets as was done today in the court, then Imran Khan would be responsible for any damage to the lives and property of the citizens,” the minister said.
Rashid said that the protest scheduled on May 11 by Imran Khan is merely a manifestation of frustration as his government has failed to deliver in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
