PARC inks MoUs to promote vegetables and cotton varieties

ISLAMABAD

For improving vegetable crops and to extend cotton research Pakistan Agriculture Research Council (PARC) Thursday inked 2 Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs).
First MoU was inked between Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) and AVARDC-The World Vegetable Centre for scientific & technical cooperation on research and development on vegetable crops in Pakistan.
Whereas Second MoU was inked between PARC and the Institute of Cotton Research (ICR) Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), PR China for technical cooperation and scientific collaboration in agricultural research.
The aim of MoU between PARC and AVRDC to alleviate poverty and malnutrition through the increased production and consumption of nutritious and health-promoting vegetables and through scientific and technical cooperation
Whereas the MoU between PARC and ICR-CAAS, PR China aims to promote the development of high yielding and insect pest/disease resistant cotton varieties and hybrids in Pakistan.
