Lashing out at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, Fazlur Rehman of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) on Wednesday said that there was more to the May 11 protest call in Islamabad given by PTI and its allies than what meets the eye.
Talking to journalists outside the Parliament House, Fazl asked why Imran was focusing only on rigging in four constituencies rather than protesting against poll fraud across the country. He said that the media was giving unnecessary coverage to the PTI chief.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has conferred the status of federal minister on Fazl, who is the chairman of the Special Committee of the National Assembly on Kashmir.
A notification in this regard has been issued by the Cabinet Division.
