Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif paid his maiden visit to Mazar-e-Quaid today after taking charge, a news channel reported on Thursday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), military’s public affairs wing, the COAS offered Fateha at Mazar-e-Quaid and laid floral wreath.
General Sharif also inscribed his views in a visitors’ book at the Quaid’s mausoleum.
Strict security arrangements were made during COAS’s visit to the mausoleum. The VVIP gate of the mausoleum had been closed for general visitors as part of a security arrangement.
