Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran khan has said that those involved in rigging last year’s elections should be subjected to Article-6 of the Constitution.

While talking to journalists during his visit to a local PTI leader on Tuesday, the PTI leader said that only free and fair elections could safeguard democracy.

The PTI chief asked all the leaders of his party to ensure their presence at D-Chowk on May 11. He said that on May 11 he would present a charter of demands which would be the beginning of new movement that would not derail democracy but deepen its roots in the country.

“After elections, I felt that Tsunami would no longer be required for next five years. However, now I have realized that the country needs Tsunami once again. People should come out on May 11 – not for my sake or for PTI but for the sake of our country and future of our children.”

Khan also singled out a media group and asked it to stay away from his character assassination as it could not stop him from calling spade a spade. He said that throughout his political career he struggled for the independence of judiciary and media.
