NEW DELHI-
Pakistan has demanded enhanced security from India for its diplomats after Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India, Abdul Basit, and other staff members of the High commission received threatening letters, Indian media reported on Wednesday.
Official Indian sources confirmed that the Pakistan High Commission has received letters in the past few days in which the Pakistani officials are threatened of harm.
Basit raised the matter with Pakistan’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Tuesday after which Pakistan has demanded of India to launch a thorough investigation into the matter, adding that it was New Delhi’s responsibility to ensure the security of Pakistani diplomats in India.
